At Ventura College: Made 17 appearances on the mound with nine starts ... Posted a record of 3-8 with a 5.76 ERA ... Recorded 36 strikeouts in 70.1 innings pitched ... Had one save... Threw a complete game shutout giving up just five hits with six strikeouts against Pierce College.

At Wasatch High School: Three-year letter winner, posting an 8-1 record with 72 striketouts during his senior season in just 52 innings... Was a Deseret News 3A All-State honoree.
