Nicholls State University

2011 (Sophomore):  Made 13 appearances out of the Nicholls bullpen, going 1-1 with an 8.16 ERA (13 ER/14.1 IP) ... Made his season debut on Feb. 19 at Louisiana Tech, limiting the Bulldogs to just one run on five hits and one walk while striking out two batters in 3.0 IP, the longest outing of his career ... Held the opposition scoreless in seven of 13 outings ... Did not allow a run from March 30 through May 8, a string of four relief apperances and 5.0 IP ... Struck out nine batters and walked eight in 14.1 IP for a 1.13 K/BB ratio and a 5.65 K/9.0 IP mark ... Recorded his first career victory on April 6 against the University of New Orleans, holding the Privateers scoreless in a 2.0 IP relief outing, allowing just two hits and one walk.

2010 (Freshman):  Made two relief apperances as a freshman, going 0-0 with a 5.40 ERA (1 ER/1.2 IP) ... Made his debut on March 28 against Stephen F. Austin, logging 1.1 IP of scoreless, hitless work against the Lumberjacks.

Prior to Nicholls-

Lutcher High School: Earned four letters in baseball at Lutcher High School ... Earned first team all-district honors each of his four seasons as a pitcher from 2006-2009 ... Named all-state honorable mention as a pitcher during his 2007 sophomore season ... Named All-River Parish and All-Metro as both an outfielder and pitcher following his 2009 senior campaign.

Personal: The eldest of Dr. Jerry and Tessa Poche[apos]s four children ... Has three younger brothers: Dylan (17), Jared (14) and Cameron (10).
