THIBODAUX, La. – Following the completion of the 2017 National Football League (NFL) Draft, former Nicholls State University offensive lineman
Chris Bordelon signed a rookie free agent deal with the New York Jets.
Bordelon, a native of White Castle, Louisiana, capped his career at Nicholls by earning Second Team All-Southland. A two-year starter, Bordelon was instrumental in the Colonels' improved offense in 2016 as the team averaged nearly 13 points per game more than the previous year. Bordelon sat out the 2015 season, but was a All-Southland honorable mention as a junior after starting all 12 games at left tackle.
