Lardarius Webb Holds Football Camp at Nicholls

THIBODAUX, La. – Former Nicholls State University football player and current Baltimore Raven Lardarius Webb held a free football camp at John L. Guidry Stadium on Saturday morning, presented by the Lardarius Webb Foundation.

Around 100 campers of all ages showed up to participate in the camp, which lasted for approximately four hours. Webb, who is entering his fourth season with the Baltimore Ravens, not only taught the campers about football, but also provided some valuable life lessons. Each camper received a free t-shirt, and Webb even stuck around after the event to sign autographs.

Nicholls football head coach Charlie Stubbs' staff and players also assisted with the event, instructing drills and teaching the campers fundamentals.

Webb, who played at Nicholls from 2007-08, had eight interceptions last season, emerging as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. While at Nicholls, he became the only player in NCAA Division I history to earn player of the week honors for offense, defense and special teams in the same season.

The Lardarius Webb Foundation was created to raise and distribute funds to provide aid to underprivileged children and their families. The primary purpose of the foundation is to keep young men and women off the streets and out of trouble, by giving them the knowledge, confidence, and support to achieve any positive goals they set.
