Colonel sports programs depend on external financial support to increase scholarships, improve recruiting opportunities, provide game guarantees, purchase equipment and enhance the overall operation budget so that every student-athlete is given the oppurtunity for the best collegiate experience. Your financial support is essential to ensure that the Colonel athletic program moves in a positive direction! Nicholls State University student-athletes are outstanding ambassadors who bring positive recognition to our university, community and region. Colonel athletics also provide many hours of entertainment and other exciting activities to take part in and enjoy. Perhaps the most satisfaction you will receive from supporting NSU Athletics, however, is the knowledge that you are helping to give a worthy student-athlete the best opportunity possible to achieve success in both the classroom and on the playing field! The NSU Colonel Club is the fundraising arm for Colonel athletics and is essential to the athletic program n today's highly competitive arena of college athletics. Your enthusiasm and investment help make it possible to attract quality student-athletes required to compete in the Southland Conference and in the NCAA Division I level. Last year, Colonel Club membership grew from 215 to more than two hundred and fifty members. A portion of the revenue helped purchase new uniforms for the Colonel men and women's basketball teams, provided additional dollars for team travel for the new women's golf program, and provide additional student-athlete scholarships. This year, membership levels have been updated to provide members with a more attractive benefits package including Parking and Season Tickets.
